Students in the CSS M.S. program will complete a three-quarter capstone (CSS 296) project that involves an internship-like placement or a mentored project supervised by an affiliated faculty member, either of which culminates in a demonstration of student knowledge and the creation of work worthy of inclusion in a digital portfolio. Through the capstone project, students will have the opportunity to work hands-on with real data and apply computational modeling, machine learning, and data analysis skills to real world problems. Students will be matched to a capstone project and will be assigned to a team of up to four students.
