David Arnold

Assistant Teaching Professor

David Arnold is an Assistant Teaching Professor of Economics at UC San Diego. He is a labor economist with a focus on imperfect competition, racial discrimination, and algorithms. His work on algorithms focuses on how to build more accurate and fair algorithms in settings in which the outcome of interest is only selectively observed due to non-random human decision-making. His work has appeared in peer-reviewed journals including the Quarterly Journal of Economics, the American Economic Review, and the American Economic Journal: Applied Economics.
