Nir Jaimovich is an applied macroeconomics researcher who has a particular interest in business cycles, labor market dynamics, and the macroeconomic implications of micro product level data. His work includes studies of how long-run labor market developments shape the dynamics of the business cycle, the empirical and theoretical plausibility of signals and uncertainty about future economic fundamentals functioning as important drivers of business cycles, the study of how actual firms’ pricing strategies change the insights regarding the extent that monetary policy has an impact on the economy, and the effects of consumer choices on demand for labor, output, and welfare.
